None of the readers employ a thick accent in the narrative portions, but for dialogue they let their imitative talents shine and their Irish lilts bloom. Brendan Coyle and Charles Keating, reading "A Little Cloud" and "Grace" respectively, give such wonderful expression to the idiosyncrasies of every individual voice that the listener is never confused even when numerous men are talking. Joyce wrote only sparingly in actual dialect, but most of the readers interpret his intentions freely and successfully. Fionnula Flanagan is perfect reading "A Mother," her voice shifting easily between prim and proper tones and fiery indignation punctuated with little sighs. It helps that Joyce's writing is so masterful that when Flanagan and the two other actresses read the three stories that revolve around women, their words sound utterly natural. Not all the performances are on the same level—Stephen Rea's cold, somber voice is apt for the meditative beginning and ending sections of the collection's most famous story, "The Dead," but too flat for the central description of a lively party. This audiobook creates the atmosphere of a fireside storytelling session that will hold any listener in rapt attention. (May)

If you ever wondered why it is that the jews seem to be either the originators or sustainers of virtually every negative revolutionary action that has damaged the west this book will provide an excellent theological insight which will make it quite clear. Every conscious western mind of european descent would find this book rather interesting and could use it as a springboard to understanding just why things have gone so wrong in our culture. This is an ancient problem and we have been tongue tied in addressing it. Now in this politcally correct and anti religious environment which has been purposefully thrust upon us we are virtually incapacitated to deal with this dilemma.

He said that Jews are designed by God with a Divine spark to keep and learn Torah, but when they rebel against God, that spark finds new outlets. I think Dr Jones explains it best.

A very insightful little book that will quickly show the reader how the ant-logosian, revolutionary spirit has attacked our societies and has dragged them into the mire of filth and degradation in which we now find ourselves.

E. Michael Jones starts out telling us that although he’s been accused of being an antisemite, he has nothing against Jews as a race, in contrast to Hitler and the Nazis. As it turns out he’s perfectly OK with Jews as long as they accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior. Otherwise, it seems that they’re responsible for practically all the evils of the world, including Catholic priests molesting altar boys, girls being raped in India, the evolutionary theory of that notorious Jew Charles Darwin, the works of C.S. Lewis, support of Israel, and the Hollywood film industry (which apparently, under tight Jewish control, is exclusively dedicated to porn, from Citizen Kane to King Kong to Casablanca to The Maltese Falcon to...). No matter what it is Jones objects to, and he may object to just about anything, it’s the fault of those Jews. Not that Jones doesn’t get along with individuals from other cultures. He seems to be a great pal of Iran, whose government knows how to keep its population in line, entertained not by porn but by clean-cut “Death to America” rallies. It is shocking that so many fail to see through this farrago of hate-filled nonsense but choose to congratulate Jones for thinking outside the box, even if that box consists of ordinary rationality and tolerance.

This is one of the best guides to use SPSS out there. They're not in their 14th edition for nothing. Instructions are detailed enough for good understanding but still brief. Step-by-step instructions for use of SPSS are clear. Perhaps most importantly, how to interpret the statistics is also included. This book has only gotten better with each new edition. Best of all - the authors have a sense of humor, which in my view, is essential in a topic like this. I recommend this book to my master's level and Ph.D. level students. It's appropriate for undergraduate as well. This book is guaranteed to get used by anyone who purchases it to help them run their statistics.

This is just the book I was looking for. I am a PhD demographer/statistician in a new position. And I needed to learn SPSS versus R and SAS. I know statistics. I just needed to learn SPSS, i.e., I know how to do it, how do I do it in this new language? Chapter 4, Managing Data, was the biggest "ah" for me. Getting data in the 'right' place and frame is incredibly important for me. Then I can do the statistical stuff required. This is the first and only 'stats' or 'programming' book I've ever read page-by-page, cover-to-cover. And I now go back and forth seamlessly between SPSS and R, even checking my coding in both by arriving at the same 'answers'. If you know stats, bypass Field's book to this one.

Very impressed with the book so far. I am only just over half done, but the content is well described with pictures and figures that not only reinforce the concept but are also what you see when you follow along with your SPSS version 23 program. I bought this book and a 1 year gradult student Liscence for the program and decided to get a head start on the Research Statistics course I'll be taking this coming fall semester. I feel this book will give me an advantage in a course that has a 25 to 30% drop out rate for those who take the course the first time.

I love this book. Crystal clear explanation of why one would need a statistical test and then explanations of how to run in SPSS. Initially rented but decided to buy because it's so helpful.

The guides' set up is practical, and easy to follow. Also very readable, and a quick read as well. Better is you have SPSS on your computer to follow along.

It's a text book don't buy it if they offer it for free in the library. Its definitely a tool and will be useful if you need to buy it.

This covers the topics well, good combination of 'button pushing' mechanics and enough of the math talk to let you know of the math concept behind the button but, not overwhelm you.
